Baggy pants = Eye Pollution.....
Who started this stupid way of dressing, anyway? If your pants are a bit baggy okay whatever...But when your WHOLE ass is hanging out, I find that offensive! There is NO GOOD REASON a five year old little girl walking down the street should be able to describe what any 20 year old man's underwear looks like. It is sloppy and in my opinion makes me think the person is uneducated. I agree that individuals should have the right to wear whatever their little heart’s desire however they should also respect themselves and others. It’s simply about self-respect and respectability in public. I get the fact, too, that young people are making a statement and enjoy the shock effect it has on people who aren't of their generation. Employers in the corporate world and any business that brings people into contact with the public will think twice about hiring young men who insist on wearing their pants almost down to their knees, just as they will think twice about hiring young women who wear exposed thong underwear, low-cut clothing and/or too much makeup. No difference. It's all about appearance and what you project. What we wear makes a statement whether we like it or not. Personally, I think this "fashion trend" is just another sad indication of how little self-respect our young people have for themselves, and how little concern and respect they have for others - particularly young children and their elders. I think parents need to step up to the plate and monitor the clothes that the kids wear and to teach them proper manners, ethics and values. Watch these guys who wear this stuff try to navigate and walk - pull up their pants - navigate and walk - pull up their pants. I can't help but laugh. It just seems ridiculous to me. If you wore pants that fit properly, you wouldn't have to pull them up constantly. Common sense should prevail and I'm tired of these whining, sloppy looking kids wanting me to accept their baggy pants and not be judgmental. What self-respecting, intelligent individual would wander around showing off his underwear to the world?  Would you respect me if I stood in line at the grocery store in front of you and your children with my ass staring you right in the face? I thought not! I think that if you see some idiot with their pants down under their butts walking along, you should just run up & yank their pants down the rest of the way. On the bright side, the baggy pants are a good "asset" to law enforcement. Wearers can barely walk let alone run away! My Theory: The LOWER your pants, the LOWER your IQ! The only thing I would suggest is if you’re going to wear your pants that way Please wear clean boxers!! :-) PULL UP YOUR PANTS! Smarten Up!!
