Some people just can’t comprehend that they have taken this truly modern marvel that can literally save your life and twisted it into a useless toy that provides just another way to show how ignorant they can be. People on their cell phones can become oblivious to everything else. I guarantee you I could sneak up behind some of these idiots and set their pants on fire, and they wouldn't know it unless someone sent them a text telling them their pants were on fire. Here’s some advice! Never talk in elevators, libraries, museums, restaurants, cemeteries, theatres, dentist or doctor waiting rooms, places of worship, auditoriums or other enclosed public spaces, such as hospital emergency rooms or buses. And don't have any emotional conversations in public — ever. Never "multi-task" by making calls while shopping, banking, waiting in line or conducting other personal business. And for all you loud talking public cell phone users, please SHUT UP! Go outside to talk or speak in a low voice, because you are not nearly as important as you think. You are annoying. How 'bout the yackers in the grocery store that can't decide which can of beans to buy... and we all have to listen. Or the nice voice behind me in line saying "hello....". I turn around to respond in-kind and it's someone on their cell. Ugh!!! The worst offenders have got to be the people that talk loudly while waiting in line and then when they are being served they stop long enough to tell the clerk what they want (no please or thank you, mind you) and then continue with their conversation. Don't you know your holding up the whole damn line! And the worst part of it is when I have to listen to you apologize to your phone buddy that your conversation was just interrupted by the cashier. Maybe next time I'll just take your phone and stamp it under my shoe. All cashiers and customer service workers should refuse customers until they are off their phones. It's all about personal courtesy and respect. When someone walks up to an area of business while talking on their phone, the message they are sending is that their call is a priority over getting assistance. Everyone has a cell phone. You're not special. So put it away, let the nice voice mail take the call and when you have some time, go to a quiet place, take down messages and return calls appropriately, okay? Smarten up!
